It’s a Truncated Icosahedron gingerbread house. (Soccer ball house) Geodesics are made from triangles circumscribed on a sphere.
I’m sure the other triangles are implied. You can tell from the frosting. Imaging having to cut, place, and frost every triangle. You could do it, though I think using frosting and a little imagination is a more elegant solution.
