
Looking for a very last-minute handmade present? One of our readers, Mark Hache, just made this floating glow display for his wife (and tweeted it), using the instructions from our Weekend Projects series. You can do this build in a few hours with a handful of common components and some clear plastic (think: CD case). I like Mark’s addition of a frame. Nice work, Mark.

floating where?
The glow “floats.” The LED light source is at the bottom of the signage but the art/lettering on the sign appears to light up.
