DIY Portable X-Ray Machine



Using a Coolidge tube, an arduino, and some high voltage know how, aspiring radiologist and maker Grenadier built a portable X-Ray machine with nixie tube display and light up dials. As with most projects this cool, it’s probably a good idea to investigate all safety precautions prior to attempting to recreate it, right? [via Technabob]

     yeah… but we’ll need about 137 smoke detectors and a whole buncha duct-tape (cuz it goes without saying that without enough duct-tape a melt-down remains a terrible threat)
