This geeky <3 necklace, available in the Maker Shed, depicts an ASCII heart, as seen in countless email and text messages: <3! The pieces are laser-cut in Sterling silver, then hand-soldered to silver tubes that hang from the 20″ curb chain. The necklace has a high-shine finish and is treated to reduce tarnishing. The pendant measures 1.5″ square, and the two pieces dangle freely with a silver bead between them. Made with love and lasers in NYC by our own Becky Stern!

For $130, I think I’ll make my own. It’s not really in the maker spirit to buy it anyways.
Here’s a link to the template, from when I cut them out by hand: http://sternlab.org/2009/04/ascii_heart_necklace/
Thanks so much. The project in my head now is building a wingback chair, but I’d like to look into metalwork soon. Have a great day!
