This video from oscon featuring Alasdair Allen, author of iOS Sensor Apps with Arduino, gives an inspiring overview and demonstration of what is possible using the Maker Shed’s RedPark Breakout Pack for Arduino and iOS. While the video doesn’t rank high on the excitement scale, it gives great insights and project ideas to anyone interested in combining iOS devices and microcontrollers.

Cool video, but the guy on the left needed some coffee or something to perk him up!
I’d like to see an example where an arduino sketch is written or downloaded to the ipad, and uploaded to the device instead of just flipping virtual switches.
What about Bluetooth? Wired connections are so 1990′s
Agreed. Something like Amarino for iOS would be awesome. I love apple most of the time, but sometimes their vice grip makes me le sigh.
