		<description><![CDATA[I agree with Dale.  Making does matter.  My students in Bronx elementary schools are makers and their activities (e.g. building hydroponic gardens in their classrooms, constructing model planes with working propeller engines and navigation lights, and designing piggybank burglar alarms, etc) have ignited their imaginations and enthusiasm for learning.  Their parents and relatives are also inspired by what they see.  Here&#039;s one comment that was posted on our blog recently. &quot; It’s really cool to see my God daughter …Telling me something new to learn …I think school should be more hands on, cause Children will want to learn more and it will stay with them more. I feel that they should do this more.&quot;    It&#039;s awesome that Dale is getting the word out on television today so others can start thinking about how to bring making to more children. It&#039;s transformative.]]></description>
