After a number of attempts, John Collins, more commonly known by his superhero name, the Paper Airplane Guy, made it into the record books last weekend. On February 26th, in the Fry’s Hanger at McClellan AFB in CA, thrower Joe Ayoob tossed a Collins design 226 feet, 10 inches, officially breaking the existing world record which stood at 207 feet, 4 inches. Congrats to John and Joe!

ok im sorry but 69 meters is beatable. Back in USSR (days) paper airplanes were a very popular hobby, it was not unusual for the best one sheet models to reach the end of indoor soccer field which is 100 meters, no one was recording those, no one cared about the world records.
There are only two plausible responses to this:
“Pics or it didn’t happen.”
or
“In Soviet Russia, paper airplane throws you.”
I’ll let the voters decide…
Documentation, documentation, documentation. Those paper airplane virtuosi are perfectly free to try to break this record, but until they do, with cameras and proper documentation, it’s all just tall tales.
How about the design of this airplane so we can try it at home.
