    For those of you who want a better understanding of the mechanisms, KMODDL is THE place to start. Not only do they show physical examples of mechanisms, but complete histories, as well. There are even interactive examples. (In this one, try making a and h quite long, while shortening b to not much longer than g. That would make a great snapping motion for an animal jaw, wouldn’t it?)
