
As you turn the tail, the head tilts to the side as if curious about what’s happening. It’s an alley cat because it is made of 100% found items from the alleys in our neighborhood… What started as a cabinet door and some gnarly, screw and nail ridden wood turned into something as scrappy and resourceful as the alley cat it embodies.
The scratched wood is a nice detail, and shows that even scrap wood can be given another purpose. Five single-extruder MakerBot Replicators are up for grabs in the Project Remake Contest (not to mention an expenses paid trip to NYC for World Maker Faire!).
