Costume artisan and prop master Shawn Thorsson never disappoints. He’s brought us HALO Spartans, Dead Space 2 characters, and Predator aliens that look like they’ve just beamed in from their respective sci-fi universes. He’s even given us combat garden gnomes. But he truly outdid himself this time by premiering his Warhammer 40,000 Space Marines at this year’s Maker Faire Bay Area.
In this video from Jaime & Adam Tested video, Shawn explains how the suits were constructed and how a regular size person functions within 8′ tall Space Marine armor.
See more about the armor at Shawn’s website.

Shh! If Games Workshop finds out, they’ll probably send at least 40,000 lawyers at these guys.
Only if he didn’t ask permission/doing it for profit.
An awesome labor of love! These things are amazing and the ingenuity involved is brilliant. Well done guys.
I am glad they didn’t make them into Ultramarines!
Those suits are amazing!
