The Ogre (or Orc)

The Winged Dragon
Il Parco dei Mostri di Bomarzo — “The Park of Monsters” — is a rock sculpture park in central Italy. Commissioned in the 16th century by Prince Pier Francesco Orsini after the death of his beloved wife Giulia, the park was designed by architect Pirro Ligorio and was originally called “Villa of Wonders.” Sculptures depict characters in history and mythology: Pegasus, Hannibal’s elephant, Proteus, Ceres, Aphrodite. If I ever go to Italy, I’d love to visit this place and have a picnic.

Wow that is a scary monster: No face and a fanny pack. Yikes.
yep, Bomarzo Italy, nicely freaky spot. featured heavily in an old Donald Sutherland film “Castle of the Living Dead” (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057924/)
A small correction: Bomarzo is not in Northern Italy but rather in Central Italy, 100 km ca. north of Rome.
Thank you Simone! I just fixed that.
