How much did it cost to do this?
I think a better question is how much does it cost to drive under an uninspiring slab of steel and concrete every day?
It looks like it’s just painted on, so probably not terribly much at all. It pains me though, that your first though was “how much did that cost?” Why? Because we live now in a world too driven by cutting pennies instead of improving quality.
It’s awesome that the city did something fun that people driving there will get some joy out of.
I would hope his comment would be along the lines of, “How much did it cost…because if it’s reasonable, I want to squeeze this into my city’s budget!”
Well, if people will enjoy it so much, the artist should have no trouble at all getting donations to do the work.
Why do you assume that everyone will enjoy it just because you do? I happen to enjoy it, but I also enjoy a lot of bizarre things, and I don’t want to steal money from my neighbors to fund my hobbies.
We seriously need more of this!
