And we’re back with our thirty-fourth installment of Your Comments. Here are our favorites from the past week, from Makezine, our Facebook page, and Twitter.

In response to Details of C64 Bass Guitar Hack, Julian Myers says:

So can we just nominate her as queen of the makers already?

In the piece How-To: Plastic Scoopers Out of Jugs, Pete Prodoehl remarks:

Jim, I don’t think the takeaway from this post is “amazing new way to make a scooper!” I think it’s “I love these simple photo-based project how-tos” because Make is very much about sharing the process of making, and calling out someone / something / some method of doing so is a good thing.

In response to How-To: Make a Chocolate Bowl Using a Balloon, user Dana says:

Oh My GOD! I’m totally going to do that! I hope I can make it resistant enough to keep something in it! I could use it as a bowl on a plate to put strawberries in it! I know it will sound woman-like but: Kitchen, here I come!

In the piece How-To: Read a ROM, Chris Whittington says:

“But what kind of data can you expect to find in these digital time capsules?”

I used a programmer to read the contents of some EPROMS in SMPTE timecode clocks (TV stations use them extensively). The clocks are driven from a master clock and have hands like an analog clock. Each hand had a stepper motor. The motors started going bad and the manufacturer said we had to send the bulky, fragile clocks back for repair. By comparing different clock’s memory contents I found the calibration values for the hands. By altering the values and measuring the results I was able to repair the clocks myself. The manufacturer’s techs said that my method was a lot easier than the complicated calibration setup which the factory used.

In the article Giant Lego Bridge user Some Dude in NC writes:

It looks like it’s just painted on, so probably not terribly much at all. It pains me though, that your first though was “how much did that cost?” Why? Because we live now in a world too driven by cutting pennies instead of improving quality.

It’s awesome that the city did something fun that people driving there will get some joy out of.
