
Raspberry Pi owners will likely be delighted to hear that they just got a big update to the default Linux installation for their boards. This new distribution of Linux, called Raspbian, is a port of Debian that takes better advantage of the Raspberry Pi’s hardware. According to the founder of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, Eben Upton, “Users who are still using Debian squeeze will definitely want to switch to this, as it contains numerous tweaks and performance improvements to the firmware, kernel and applications.” The download link is here for the those who just want the goods!
