Mark Krawczuk prepares his “tactical brunch,” a mobile brunch kitchen.

For this week’s episode of Food Makers, a weekly Google+ hangout on air, I’ll be joined by three standouts in America’s underground farmers market and food scene. While not exactly secret societies, underground markets, and meetups bring together food lovers who like to eat under the radar, trading, purchasing and enjoying food not available in a store near you.

My guests will be Iso Rabins, founder of Forage SF and San Francisco’s Underground Market; Spring Maxfield, creator of Sonoma County’s Farmers’ Black Market; and Mark Krawczuk, co-founder of New York’s Lost Horizon Night Market and Noodle Truck and “tactical brunch” special operative.

The hangout will be broadcast live and online at 2pmPST/5pm EST right here. See you there.
