The Printrbot 3D printer website has a live webcam feature pointed at their workshop. While we were peeping the action today, we noticed what looked like a super tall 3D printer, the likes of which we hadn’t seen. Upon investigation, we realized it’s the new Super Z height-extension kit for the Printrbot Plus. Giving your printer a lift is certainly an intriguing idea. According to the site, with this upgrade, you can now print 23 inches tall on the 8×8 print bed, which is over 1400 cubic inches. Statue of Liberty lamp, anyone?

That would be perfect to print an Eiffel Tower!
I want a 3D printed Christmas Story Leg Lamp!
You can’t. Those are made in Italy.
Great until you print goes awry after the first 60 hours!
