Raspberry Pi Turns 1 and element14 is Celebrating

For being just one-year old, Raspberry Pi has had quite an

To celebrate Raspberry Pi’s first birthday, element14 has a month-long roster of activities. But first, check out this video ode to the Pi featuring Ben Heck:

Here are just a few of the events element14 is hosting to fete the Pi:

  • They are giving away a Raspberry Pi case Ben created on his show in Autodesk 123D. Sign up for the contest here.
  • They’ll be offering Raspberry Pi-themed RoadTests where participants can register to receive free products in exchange for writing a review of their experiences.
  • element14 will host a Raspberry Pi webinar on the next stage of the Raspberry Pi revolution: the development of easy to use accessories  The event is March 20 and registration is open now.
  • Raspberry Pi was developed with the intention of getting it into the hands of students. With that in mind, element14 is holding a Google+ hangout on air with with the Illinois Institute of Technology March 14 from 11am-2pm CST that will feature demos of several Raspberry Pi projects. More details on this will be available as the date draws nearer.

Information about these and other events are available here. Meanwhile, check out this cool graphic element14 created about the life of Pi:
