Here are some photos of a new iPod Shuffle waterproof case. I'm making a few cases of my own for the Shuffle, but this is Apple's version. I actually like it more than the Shuffle itself...

Incidentally, Apple's page on the product says
Use this rugged sport case to shelter your iPod shuffle from the elements. The integrated lanyard and convenient controls keep your iPod shuffle accessible whatever the weather.
I don't see anything about waterproof-ness... it looks more like something that is water-resistant (i.e. don't submerse it!), but who knows.

No case needed -- Waterproofed 2nd Gen iPod Shuffle
________________________________________
Training for triathlons, I have to run, bike and swim. I needed something that was small, light and waterproof. Previously, I would put my first gen iPod Shuffle in a plastic case and use waterproofed headphones with it. Trouble was that the headphones weren't totally waterproof, sounded rather bad, and after a week or so they stopped working. I never was too jazzed about the case either as water somehow got into the case or contacted the Shuffle when I took it out of the case and then the Shuffle stopped working! For Christmas, my friend got me a Shuffle that is waterproofed from the inside and comes with a headset that is really waterproof, comfortable, and sounds a lot better than the standard headset that comes with the Shuffle. I think you can see it at www.swimipod.blogspot.com or at swimman.com . I think Swimman dudes have taken the iPod Shuffle to an even a higher level of cool.
