Catching up with some recorded TV...AOTS featured building a camera from a flatbed scanner. While they couldn't get the results they wanted- check out Michael Golembewski's site. He has some amazing pictures and a how-to on his project. Here's another camera-scanner project which was featured too. I have an old scanner so I'll try and build one and see how it works out.

Were you able to get a scanner camera working? I've been tinkering around but haven't had too much luck. Then again, I've only salvaged an overhead projector lens and my optics knowledge is somewhat lacking. Please post any progress!
