Wow, this is one of the neatest projects I've seen lately- it's a LEGO electronics lab kit. Using LEGO bricks, soldering nails, various electronic components to build an "Lego Electronic Lab Kit". Check out all the photos on the site to see the different types of electronic-ified LEGOs and how they're being used as all sorts of components. Link.

This is pretty cool. Somebody should create a site with howto's for the different blocks/components. And then everyone can create tutorials with different electronic schematics. This could be a fun way to learn electronics...

Interesting use of legos and full points for creativity. But as far as learning/prototyping electronics I think (unless I am missing something) traditional solderless breadboards are far more flexible and easy to use. ex: http://www.radioshack.com/searchsku.asp?find=276-175

Here's a great alternative product to give to young children. I bought a Snap Circuits Jr. for my daughter a while back. The snap part of it could be made a little better. But, the overall kit quality is very nice and the instructions are easy to read to with good diagrams. Elenco /Snapcircuits also has additional projects on their web site.

Almost really cool. What would be better is to eliminate the wires completely and use the different sized bricks as wires with built in connection points.
