MusicThing sums up the Russian DIY homemade DJ cassette decks nicely- DJ Aptem is a new MT hero - he's done what I always dreamed of doing when I was little and couldn't afford a pair of Technics. He's built a pair varispeed tape decks, complete with 'jog wheel', EQ and motor off switches. He also has a nice minimal studio setup (he only uses Max/MSP). DJ Aptem, we salute you! Wow i should really start following through on my ideas, i swear i thought up this one 4-5 years ago just never had the abilities to make it (i guess every wanna be dj has..). Considering parts are so ghetto cheap this could be a great lil project to try out. Looks like a great setup he has goin, well done russian guy, you are truly a king of kings.
