MAKE DEFCON 13 coverage is complete!

29635603 C0Cf22Eb43 T We now conclude the MAKE Magazine DEFCON coverage. We have a special spot on MAKE with all the enhanced audio podcasts, images, posts and more. It was a logistically challenging event to cover, but it worked out and best of all we met so many MAKERs, new friends, old friends and had a wonderful time- see you there next year! Link.

seems like none of the recent Make podcasts (in the xml file at http://makezine.com/blog/archive/make_podcast/index.xml ) contain enclosure entities...

manually subscribing to the podcast xml file above, as well as using iTunes to do the equivalent operation don't show any shows newer than 7/25.

i seems to take itunes 24 hours to update, sorry about that..

it's not about itunes updating... look at the raw xml files... there's no enclosure entities for the last week, making this feed merely an RSS feed, and no longer a podcast :(

should be fine now, i'm not sure why you're not getting the updated feed, which feed are you subscribed to? itunes had an old one awhile back...

ah HA!

i was pulling http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/make_podcast/index.xml ...

looking at the odeo link, i found what's apparently the proper link at http://www.makezine.com/blog/index.xml ... that one gives my my current make podcast goodness.

itunes still apparently has the other one? when i search for "make", the link it finds still is only current thru 7/25.

incidentally, i got the (now known to be stale) xml link from the page you get when you click "podcasts" in the main make homepage nav bar.... it's the rss link that shows in firefox/safari.

Same problem here. No matter what feed I add to iTunes (manually or through the iTMS), the latest audio-enclosure is from 7/25

Phillip,

I just wanted to let you know just how much I enjoyed your podcasted coverage of Defcon13. I just listened to all of the mp3s and it ruled. I really liked how the podcasts had no intro or outtro, it made it seem like I was AT defcon and not at my desk writing code for 30 minutes. Keep up the good work.
