Seriously, how many people have an internet connection in their living room anyway? Is it supposed to be wireless? Blue-Ray is DOA. Consumers are smarter than ever, we will NOT just eat what we are fed.

...and who is to say that there will be nothing like this for HD-DVD. Anyway, you think that there won't be a say around this? You shouldn' be saying "don't buy Blu-Ray", instead "fellow makers, unite and find a solution!"

ummm...I'm going to have to call bullsh**t on that as well as laugh at anyone who believes that. Has anyone ever heard of a thing called economics? You really think that the industry will decide to lose all the sales of people who don't have internet or who are on slow internet? You really think this sort of thing can't be gotten around by just plugging it in to your machine and then analyzing the "encrypted" queries it will send to whatever server? You don't think someone will just spoof that server? Give me a break, no blog-reader boycott is going to stop them from coming, no content creator tricks will stop them from being broken (know about apex? the brand that makes dvd hacks trivial? there will always be a brand which knows that it can make money by not explicitly offering what the consumer wants while pretending to cater to the content manager)...
weak weak reasoning behind the "do not buy" kneejerk....

......you can always burn the dvd's removing the region coding and copyright protections......much easier and less costly than risking a $400 device
