Rumors were correct, a video playing iPod is here. While you could do this with iPod Linux (see our HOW TO) - Apple will provide videos in iTunes for fee/free. I'm curious if people will be able to convert their DVDs through iTunes, Apple could just add the iTunes DRM on the files. But for now, I think we can look forward to a couple HOW TOs on getting the content you already own or have recorded on these new iPods when they come out. Link. Apple also released new iMacs with built in sight and a remote too.

I want my students to be able to watch and listen to NARRATED powerpoint presentations on IPODS. The NARRATION -- which is me talking and is added to the powerpoint files using the standard "narration" function -- is very important. Is there any way that I get these narrated presentations to play on the new IPOD's?
Please note that currently, I convert the narrated powerpoint presentations into Flash files -- using a utility from PresentationPro. The students then play the Flash files on their home computers, and the computers in the school's library. But, I very much doubt that the new IPOD's will be able to play these Flash files.
Thanks.
