Make your own AOL Instant Message bot

Rbils writes "Release 7.0 of ColdFusion added several different IM Event Gateways that make creating IM based bots extremely simple. The developer version of ColdFusion is free and can be downloaded from macromedia.com. The ColdFusion community has already released several bots, including one for use in looking up ColdFusion documentation (try cflivedocs in Yahoo Messenger for example)." I already made a bunch of IRC bots to control random things like LEGO robots and a traffic light in my room, and getting them on AIM was a piece of cake. Just connect to an IRC server that has IMIRC installed (such as irc.zevils.com) and send "help" to IMServ. Just make your IRC bot use IMServ's signon command and you're golden.
