Nice mod if you have an old Dreamcast laying around, Raph writes - "The image on a TV is always a little too blurry for my taste, and the quality of a VGA image is very superior. I had always dreamed to be able to use my SNES on a PC monitor, but the SNES did not have a VGA output. I just play my DC on my dell 2005fpw since it can take component video and i have an adapter to hook the audio into my logitech z5500s.
But i was wondering, if i do this will the video quality be better?

Regarding the Dreamcast - and on the off-chance you're reading this blog and don't want to solder onto the motherboard - you can buy VGA cable connector/adapters on ebay.

I've been using a VGA adapter with my Dreamcast for years, and yes, the quality is *much* higher than S-Video or composite.
