I'm really hoping this iRiver does well; it's the first tiny MP3 player that you lets make your own games, applications and utilities using Macromedia Flash, then load them up on the device to use. Back in June of 2005 we posted about this. If it works out, I think we'll see Sony and even Apple consider user-created content like Flash games as a potential new feature - or at least sell little Flash games via Sony Connect or iTunes. I'm really hoping this iRiver does well; it's the first tiny MP3 player that you lets make your own games, applications and utilities using Macromedia Flash, then load them up on the device to use. I'm hoping the iRiver U10 does well, also - it is such an amazing little device. Sure, the MP3/video/text support is great, but what sets this gem apart is the inclusion of the Flash Lite player. Combined with the clever 'D-Click' navigation, there are a world of possibilities for mini/pocket Flash applications. Hopefully, the Make/Flash communities will embrace and explore the potential of this ground breaking platform.
In an effort to promote the U10 and support U10/Flash Lite development, we created a dedicated U10 resource called U10DO.com (you-TEN'-doe).
