American Inventors - A blog by an inventor for inventors!
Back in late 2005 we covered the American Inventor tryouts for ABC's new showing debuting in March, after the auditions there seems to be a lot of "spirited" discussions around the web about the show, the process and the inventors. Here's a new blog sent in by one of our readers that has quite a bit of information, links and resources including the Inventor Underground site - Link. Pictured here, Stephen J. Hillenbrand, an inventor known as "Mr. Lint" from our article Reality TV meets the Makers.
Hello All,
I have a question I hope a more experienced inventor can answer. I recieved my first patent about 1 year ago and of course have been buried in mail from those marketing companies. Now I know most, if not all, of these firms are only interested in thier "Up front fee", but I believe there could be a shred of truth in some of thier words. Some state you need a prototype to proceed into the marketing phase, while others insist thats not true, that a CAD video or colored renderings are sufficiant. But of course each offers the service they are promoting! HELP! Can someone give me a name or number or advice as to where to go from here. My Attorny did his job well as to attain the patent but thats where it ended. Is it possible to make money from these things short of an auction on Ebay? Thanks for any help.
