Homemade MAME arcade cocktail-style machine

102068825 5A9Bd1AaacIan writes - "This is a scratch-built MAME machine, based around my mum-in-laws old Pentium 3. Much more fun than Quake 4...There are a lot of MAME machines around, but very few cocktail-style cabinets - they seem to be mostly upright. I also haven't seen any side-by-side two-player setups. The aluminium legs were sourced from a hospitality supply company...Oh, and the machine is wi-fi enabled, so I can use iTunes for dinner parties..." Link. I'm hoping Ian will post some more photos and details so folks can build their own too.

Wow nice work! Really nice work. Is the top made of glass or Lexan? How did you have it cut?

I have made a table arcade machine, with a fully custom game called xplosion. The idea thatit was unimposing and it actually works as a pub table.

I'll be posting it on makezine as soon as I have documented the production process.

I did it as part of a games module at university, under a "viable company" named fobo, and we called the table Socious
