Here is a handy version made for "off-line" use. It's a mod for PocketMod.
The PocketMod is a new way to keep yourself organized. Lets face it, PDAs are too expensive and cumbersome, and organizers are bulky and hard to carry around. Nothing beats a folded up piece of paper.
The forums seem to be down for the moment, but here is link to the resistor calculator mod.

Most of my resistors have 4 colour bands these days. very confusing but the worse part is I can no longer see the colours! a blue background makes it even worse.
Sorry to say I usually resort to using a meter - and me a trained electronics engineer!

Hey PT,
You should have the MakeBot do resistor calculations too.
Like maybe:
input: "resistor 220"
response: "red-red-brown"
input: "resistor 10k 5%"
response: "brown-black-orange-gold"
input: "resistor green-blue-yellow-silver"
response: "560k 10%"

Here's my favorite resistor color code page:

I like its interface best, and you can choose 4,5, or 6 band codes. But it only works as a reader: you pick the colors, it gives you a value.

You might be intersted in this OSX Dashboard Widget by Nicholas Zambetti: Resistulator
It calculates the value of a resistor from the sequence of colored bands painted on the resistor. It also displays the corresponding color sequence when a resistor value is entered.
