A open source Linux program that does all this and much more (including PIC compilation, modeling, and programming) is kTechLab

paulsw: I've been able to compile kTechLab on OSX with some patching, but you'll need KDE. I've posted the patch and build instructions for compiling the SVN build to the developers list.
