Wouter (the owner of that site) is a brilliant person, who's helped me with pic problems many times, and it's a wonderful site. However those blink a LED samples are such a minor insignificant part of the site. How can you pick that to link to?

That's the homepage of JAL, once of the finest high level languages ever written for the pic chips but you ignore it.

Take a look at the Dwarf boards Wouter has designed. Those are the most useful prototyping method I've ever seen for MCU development, but you ignore it.

The site also features the WISP programing and debugging equipment as well as the ZPL bootloader.

How can you possibly feature "how to blink an LED" over all the gold on that site?

This particular page is a really good one for someone who is just starting out with PICs or a new type of PIC - if Phil had posted the more advanced pages should I get incensed about how he is ignoring beginning Makers?

There's no ignoring going on here - such accusations imply some sort of malice on Phil's part and are completely erroneous.

Anyone who found this interesting and used it as a starting point for exploration (which is half the point of this blog and something readers *should* be doing) would have found all those other interesting resources. Like I did.
