cool idea -- I love resin!
It seems like it would have been easier to cast in a vertical position. Make a rectangular "cup" as deep as the finished item, pour in some resin and then sink the flash drive guts into it with the USB connector sticking out at the top. No need for all those clamps!
Did you apply anything to the wood form to keep the resin from sticking to it?

I used clear packing tape to keep it from sticking to the wood. Now noted on page.
