Scott writes - "After getting MAME running on my iPod Nano, I decided to make a to-scale arcade cabinet for it. By scaling down a 19" monitor to 1.5", it meant that the cabinet was just a hair over 5" tall. It is a fully functioning MAME cabinet, possibly one of the smallest ever made." - Link.

I should add that the site has links to a gallery showing the construction of the second cabinet, a Ms. Pac-Man scale model.

Nice work. But I think "fully functioning" is a bit of a stretch if it lacks even basic arcade controls. I wonder if there could be a way to wire a stick and buttons to the scroll wheel?

Here's another attempt at a micro MAME cab:

im sure if the screen was rotatable, you could have the ipod right side up and then make a mini joystick with a cross glued to the bottom to hit the buttons when you tilted it.
