$450 and you don't get a piece of wood to put on top? Give me a break. I picked up one of these tables at a Design Within Reach sale for $200 and it rocks. It folds totally flat and is super light for moving it around. And I can slap on some plywood on top if I'm feeling crafty.

$450+ !! Yikes! Solid core door: $40 Table legs (Vika Curry from Ikea): $20 for 4. Or you can build the legs and a frame from 2x4 lumber for even less.

All of their stuff is absurdly expensive. Goes against everything a DIY-er stands for. Even $200 is about $100 too much when I can make my own from lumber.

For slightly more than "an alternative to welding," I can purchase a pretty nice welder and make all the stuff I want. I like the aesthetics of the modular system, but the price is completely unreasonable.

They're a solid frame, and that's a fact, but $450?

Gimme half an hour in a scrapyard and $40 bucks (Canadian, even) and I can replicate it from scaffolding components and throw in powerbars, shelving and a set of drawers.
