nPod - Portable NES

Ben has a new console meets handheld creation - the nPod. The nPod is a NES with 3.5" screen, runs on 4 AA's and uses the original NES cartridges, here's his "how it's made" page - [via] - Link.

Awesome!
He mentions making his own CNC plates and "It's not using a PCB rather a piece of engraving plastic that I laser cut (actually much cheaper than having a PCB made)".
Anyone know how he makes his own CNC plates and laser cuts engraving plastic? Thanks.
