MAKE Flickr photo pool member Coloradocrim writes - "I did a simple circuit-bend on an easy button about 3 months ago. The most common question I get is "Can you change what the easy button says when you press it?" I haven't seen anyone else online who has done this, so here are some pics. You can see a more complete description of what I did and view a video of the finished product here." - Link & photos.
I tried this with a Radio Shack recordable module. The module fit fine under the metal clicky thingie, but I couldn't find room in the case for the 9-volt.
Bummer. I was afraid this wasn't going to fit when I got ready to put the lid on it. I had to melt down the posts in the button and cut the metal plate a little to make room for the momentary switch backend. The clicker doesnt't feel quite like it did before I put all the stuff in it but it still is functional.
