Heh, this reminds me of this one issue of Popular Mechanics of mine from the '50s (Believe the February '57 issue, although might be one of the others i have), where a guy basically did the same exact thing. Any sort of gauge he could get or make, he put in the car. Ended up having more money in gauges than he spent on the car.
