Mark made a 2 level cat bed from an old desk chair, good use for an old chair that might get tossed I suppose - here's how you can make your own...
So, I had this old chair taking up space and I have 2 cats who insist on being in the office when I am...usually on my chair. I came up with a cunning plan make them a 2 story cat standthing. Here's how I did it.
First remove the plastic cover from the back.
Then disassemble back rest.
Chairs are all different so you may have to try something different.
Using only the original parts I was able to re-assemble the backrest with its cushion parallel to the seat. I only had to flip one bracket. It was strong but wobbled side to side.
Adding a piece of 2x4 with a notch cut from it solved the problem.
Final re-assembly. Make sure the wheels lock and/or that it wont fall over too easy.
