Ok...so you can program how the vacuum operates with the laptop, and then the laptop goes for a ride everywhere...Interesting. Can the Roomba be controlled similarly with Basic Stamp, for instance? I think the Roomba might make an interesting platform for a robot if the interface could be worked out...
In fact, the Roomba can be controlled with a Basic Stamp or any other microcontroller. There will be a book coming out this fall called Hacking Roomba that will show you how to do just that.
