One-upping the wallpaper trend, London-based textile designer Linda Florence applies a silvery sheen of the type used on scratch-off lottery tickets to a floral pattern. I think a good cross promotion would be with a vacuum cleaner to clean up the mess.

I saw something similar at a home & garden expo a year or so ago, areas of the wallpaper were topped with a thermal ink that would go from opaque to mostly clear depending on the temperature in the room.
What you were left with was wallpaper that never looked the same twice though the course of a day, was a neat idea, too bad that thermal ink made it unrealistically expensive.

I think it ought to be combined with "scratch and sniff" technology so that as you scratch the cover off a flower you also smell it.
