in my engineering class this year we made a backup lighting system in case of power failure using capacitors. Granted, we were limited to .8 farads, so we couldn't power nearly that much, but going by what I see there it looks like you could power some LED's for quite a while

I've always wanted battery free remotes. How about induction coil wireless charger and aerogel caps as battery substitutes.
