I have seen a guy in Brazil who recyles bottles into glasses and used chemical jars like the ones you see in chemist window into Lamp shades and glass bowls. His set up looks more like a dj deck with one turntable for heating the bottle/jar to seperate it and the other to grind the sharp edges smooth
