A normal drill works around 600 RPM, this thing running at 10krpm sounds dangerous, especially if the bits aren't meant for that kind of centripetal force.

Also, the duct tape holding it together doesn't fill me with confidence.

I would like to echo the danger of using tools at unrated rpm's. I have seen the results of table saw blades falling apart when run unbalanced on homemade devices. This could happen with the drill bit here.

Not that avoiding danger is central to the MAKEing mission, but one should at least have some idea of the implications...
