Great for parties, it consists of a pneumatic ram, precision bore crushing cylinder with aluminum crushing piston, two pneumatic rams to control the loading of cans, and solenoid valves to control the rams. Operationally, the user simply loads the cans into the magazine, opens the pneumatic ball valve to charge the surge tank, places the rotary mode switch in either auto or manual, and presses the run switch. In full auto mode, the crusher loads and crushes cans at the blinding rate of 1.5 cans/second. That's a lot of six packs!" - Link.

The term "overkill" does not begin to describe the Powerlabs ATTEMPT to crush a can. They should not be allowed to even use the term "crusher" in the same sentence with their device since it only wrinkles/dilates cans.
Ed's machine is much more practical NOT TO MENTION SAFER.
Ed, great job, you really inspire people!

i thought the powerlabs attempt to make a can crusher was a case of killing a flea with a steam roller.
i was intrigued by one of the comments though,posted by Dave on jan 1'2008. he refers to ED's machine .who is the poster or how do i get in touch with him or can i just get a diagram of ED's machine?
i live in a mobilehome park and collect cans for our homeowners assn. i'm 78 and the idea of a can crusher intrigues me.
