HOW TO - Convert vinyl to CD

Gf-350
Aw man, this TEAC GF-350 Turntable/CD-Recorder/Radio is almost awesome - it's a record player that can record to CD, but according to the review it has some wonky DRM (Serial Copy Management System) on the CDs, requires "special" CDs, doesn't have audio outputs and doesn't seem to automatically make tracks so well -- that's too bad (check our resources below on how to record records yourself on the cheap) -- [via] - Link & review.

I just got a Numark TTUSB that includes rca phono/line-out (i.e. I don't need a separate amp), USB connector (i.e. I don't need a digital break out box) and an 1/8" line-in jack (so I can pull old recordings I made on a dictaphone). The only problem I have run into so far is a low frequency hum when I lay the tone arm onto the record. I am using audio hijack to record and audacity for post production.

I am thinking about buying the Numark TTUSB also but after extensive searching, cannot find any info on whether the operation is manual, automatic or semi-automatic. Also I assume it does not come with a dust cover but cannot find any info on that either. Can you help?

Thanks.
