Kevin writes - "I have been searching for a good way to connect a Nikon D200 to a GPS in order to geocode photos. I have not found a solution that I thought was near a reasonable price. I have therefore made my own. I made a project page for it and posted it for all to see and replicate..." [via] - Link.

  • I like to use RoboGEO for geocoding my pics. Granted, you have to do it offline, but it works like a charm for me.

  • I made a wireless solution using Serial to bluetooth adaptor. The GPS receiver can now sit in my backpack.

  • Can't you just carry the gps and sync up the tracks to the time on the photos after the fact? This seems to work well on geoladders.com, Where MTBers with gps take pictures along a trail, then everything gets geocoded after the fact.
