you do have a discount! one free issue is 20% (or $8.74 savings)... my boss says i'm crazy. we're practically giving away the store. he keeps screaming "it just doesn't make sense!". but wait...that's not all... there's more... call now and we'll toss in a FREE craft t-shirt. it's insanity i tell you. INSANITY!
ok, that was dan our publisher who said that, or it was my "inside voice" - regardless, it's a good deal.

Great, now if only the abysmal web site or even worse call centre would allow me to get my daughter a subscription. I'll re-post if the customer service email for CRAFT works any better.

ShadowyMan - feel free to email me if you have any problems... out of the thousands of people who subscribe to make i've only heard a couple complaints and they were all resolved.

Phil, that does sound like a good deal, but I'm not seeing it on the subscription site.

Oracle1729 - what aren't you seeing? the t-shirt & extra issue deal?

Phil, right.
When I don't enter the MAKE4CRAFT code, I see the regular $35 deal. When I do enter it, the pricing and options are exactly the same, but it prompts me to set a User ID and Password.

Reporting back on my previous post where I couldn't subscribe, I'm happy to say that PT and the rest of the MAKE/CRAFT crew really went the extra mile to fix me up with a subscription. I'm guessing that there is more than meets the eye to getting a new pub off the ground, but it's nice to know that people care.
Now I'll have to deal with my daughter watching the mailbox until CRAFT 01 ....

Oracle1729 - i'm going to look in to this - regardless you get the deal, so you're all set. as always, if there are any issue, anyone can email me - we'll take care of ya.

Oracle1729 - and anyone else who signed up after seeing the 5 for 4 offer, please email me - we'll take care of that manually. sorry about that, but hey launching a new magazine means all sorts of fun! woooo!

While the thread is up, I want to thank you for choosing a format that's not filled with obnoxious ads.
Since they're not strongly ad supported, these magazines are fairly expensive, but worth every penny. If they were half the price and had enough ads to justify the lower price I'd be less likely to subscribe.

Oracle1729 - thanks again... when you divide the cost of a sub ($35) / 4 that's $8.75 an issue and since we're a large magazine with 200-ish pages of content i think it's a good deal. since it takes months to get through all the projets, it's not a bad price $3-ish / month if you divided the cost out per month. it's like less than a small coffee now! woo!
