Chumby - Open source squeezable, Wi-Fi bean-bag computer

I'm catching up on unpacking and finally got my little open source squeezable, Wi-Fi bean-bag computer, the Chumby, set up...
What's a Chumby? - Chumby, a compact device that can act like a clock radio, but is way more flexible and fun. It uses the wireless internet connection you already have to fetch cool stuff from the web: music, the latest news, box scores, animations, celebrity gossip...whatever you choose. And a chumby can exchange photos and messages with your friends. Since it's always on, you'll never miss anything.
I'm pretty excited about this little fellow, an open gadget that you can hack inside and out... I'll release some apps soon, for now - check out the interview with Chumby's Chairman, Steve Tomlin "The device, in prototype, is small, designed for the "kids," and sports a Wi-Fi adapter, an AC power plug, a small, color touchscreen, and an open architecture. The company wants people to hack the software, hardware, and even the device's case with their own modifications. It's not precisely open source, but it's all open. They hope the device will ship in the second quarter of 2007 for about $150. They also expect that it could be licensed or replicated in many forms--they have released or shortly will release the parts list and schematics among other parameters--and they're curious what results." - [via] - Link.
