Honus posted up another costume Instructable, a very accurate looking Ghostbuster! He writes, – “I thought this would be a great idea for Halloween (I love Halloween!) so in my usual over the top fashion I went, well – over the top. A buddy of mine wanted to do it as well. We tried to get his roommate into it too so we could have a third Ghostbuster but he didn’t think we’d be able to do it. He was wrong. :)” – Link.

Man… that is way bad ;-)
On one side I wish we had Halloween overhere. But I dislike the thoughts / legends behind it all. I mean, I don’t want to have anything to do with witchcraft and their rituals and stuff.

Halloween has nothing to do with witchcraft or anything like that, it might have a long time ago(though i’m sure someone will correct me) but no one thinks of it like that anymore. Its just an awesome night where you dress up, make a jackass of yourself and be merry! its fantastic!

Neither did the folks who originated Halloween–that was the point! The scary costumes, jack-o-lanterns, etc. were intended to scare away the daemons and other such evil things so that the next day (all saints day) would be devil-free.
Even before Christianity hit the scene, its rituals were still good natured. Halloween (or “Samhain”, as it was called then) was seen as a day when the door between the after-life and our own was open and spirits and the like could roam about. The townspeople lit bonfires in order to keep the daemons away, presumably allowing the friendlier spirits of friends and family to stick around (which sounds kind of nice, really).
But all in all, b4k4hakujin is right. All of this paranormal stuff pretty much went out hundreds of years ago. Sure, there are no-doubt some cults and religions that still do some “devilry” on the 31st, but I think you’d be hard pressed to find a day that they don’t!
Really, Halloween is about fun and candy for kids, and general ass-ery for “adults”. Nothing more.
Wow! I want one!
